Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pick the software used in your courses?
A: We stay on top of developments in the educational software market to ensure that students have access to the best tools for each subject and age group. We also strive to choose programs that are affordable for parents to purchase for home use so that kids can continue to learn and explore after the class is over.

Q: Where can I find the software you use in your classes?
A: We will make sure you know how to find the software taught in the class your child takes. For several classes the software is included on the CD we send home along with your student's project.

Q: Are there other classes you might add in the future?
A: We are always in the process of developing new courses and curriculums. Possibilities for future course offerings include Digital Storytelling for younger students, an Inventor's Workshop, Lego Robotics, Advanced Video Game Creation, and Stop Motion Animation. Feel free to email us at info@mindzailearning.com with suggestions or requests!

Q: How do you accommodate gifted children or those with learning disabilities in your classes?
A: We give each student personalized instruction and are sure to provide challenges at just the right level for each child. Students are able to move forward at their own pace.

Q: Does my child need to be comfortable with computers to take one of your classes?
A: No, our curricula and teaching style are designed to accommodate kids' varying interests and abilities. Our small class size allows us to spend time working with each student individually so that each student feels proud of their final project while learning new skills and technologies.

Q: Do you recommend that a child take the same course twice?
A: Definitely, our courses are designed to challenge and excite students of all abilities.  If your child takes a second session of a particular class we will help him or her to dive right into our more advanced curriculum through one on one instruction.
